I create my digital collages from photographic images I capture during my daily life.
The shapes and compositions I find within the photographs are not especially organic subjects, yet through the collage technique, they transform into living subjects that have feeling and expression using patterns of organic flow and rhythm. The single representational image transforms into non-representational image.
My collages stand-alone when printed on photo paper, fabric or wallpaper. Whether the collages are made into a necktie, jacket, barstool cushion or into wallpaper for a lobby or lounge wall, these surface designs hold true to themselves.
I was born in Indianapolis and now live in Houston (by way of San Diego). I hold a Bachelor degree in Studio Art and Sociology from Ball State University as well as an Associates degree from Houston Community College.
